![]() | ![]() The Silicon Beach Enterprises (SBE) Medical Marketing Group grew out of a successful relationship we developed with the world-leader in the production of ocular implants, Integrated Orbital Implants (IOI). SBE was so successful in the global marketing, distribution, and new product development of IOI's products that we decided to expand and offer this proven expertise to other firms in the medical and biotech arenas. The partners of SBE have worked together for many years and have developed what we consider to be an extraordinary working relationship. Many of our clients have commented that our working relationship has facilitated their projects, inspired the best possible final outcome, and created the most pleasant working environment they have known. Among all of the feedback we receive, this sort is certainly the most gratifying and rewarding. We cannot imagine doing business any other way.
Amy Cahill Amy formerly worked as a medical-marketing research associate for Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Inc., the world's largest technology consulting company. There she initiated and carried out marketing to the State of California in the areas of Health and Human Welfare and Computer Systems. During her tenure with Booz-Allen, Amy successfully wrote, bid, and won major accounts ranging from $150,000 to $6 million. As a founding partner of On-Line Edit (OLE), a contract biomedical communications company that provides services to research groups worldwide, Amy cultivated a client list of researchers who have been published in most major scientific journals. Amy has also worked as a cross-cultural development specialist for Los Niños, an award- winning nonprofit community development organization. There she trained, supervised, and evaluated staff in the creation and evaluation of cross-cultural development programs between Mexico and the United States. Jim Cahill Jim is the author or co-author of several medical publications and has designed and implemented numerous animal and human studies for the evaluation of new medical technologies. Jim developed the first international distribution network for a movable artificial eye implant and designed a marketing campaign that reversed a long-standing market rejection of such implants, a reversal that doubled international sales and resulted in international market dominance for the device. Jim has concepted and developed trademarks, advertisements, and public relations campaigns for several medical companies, including Johnson & Johnson and Smith-Nephew, and is well-versed in the emerging Internet and electronic-media as vehicles for commerce, marketing, and training. Jim is a published neuropsychology researcher and conducted research at the Scripps Institute and Research Foundation in La Jolla, CA before venturing into the commercial world of medical marketing and communications. Jim has an extensive background and interest in communications, an asset that helps him identify and develop the key messages that will make a product stand out in the competitive international medical marketplace.
